Melanie & Eric

I had the best time with these two last week.. I loved everything about the day.  The location, the weather, the couple.. Everything! I wanted to portray the connection that these two had on their wedding day, so with very little direction, I enjoyed seeing these two interact and embrace.

Melanie and Eric helped me feel at ease with their free spirited attitudes and laidback personalities.. I definitely felt like I was in my element.  It was also my first time to meet Melanie.. I instantly loved her charismatic personality!  She looked gorgeous in a delicate lace gown as her wavy hair framed around her face!

Taking part with such a small, private and intimate ceremony was very heartfelt for me.  They exchanged their vows with their families present and was just an overall, very sincere and touching ceremony for all there.

I couldn't be happier for my longtime friend Eric!  He truly couldn't stop smiling and looking at his bride!  I look forward to following their journey as they build a life together!  Congratulations!!

Welcome Baby K!

Sweet Kate has barely turned three weeks!!  She is a new year baby and I was thrilled to hear from the Williams family again in regards to taking some photos.  I had the opportunity to meet Kate's big sis, Adeline, a few years back for her newborn session and now it is Kate's turn!

She was such a sweetie with .. on occasion.. the need to voice her opinion with how she felt about our session. For the most part, I must say that her first session was a success!  No matter her expression, I honestly think we got a little bit of all her personalities wrapped up into the one photo session.

I loved seeing Adeline interact with her new baby sister as well.  She laughed and giggled everytime her mom would get ready to let her hold her new baby sister.  She was so sweet!

It looks like the William's family started out 2019 as a plus one!!  Congratulations on welcoming another sweet baby girl.  I know that the new year will hold many new memories for their family as Kate continues to grow and change over the year!!

Millie's View

So many of you may have remembered following Millie Vanilli with her road to recovery from having severe issues on trusting people as well as being starved almost to the point of death.. Well.. she has been living the life of luxury with trips to the mountains and the beach.. outings to the lakehouse, days of hiking and play days and then.. just like that.. BAM.. she thinks her days of carefree and joy have come to an end with the arrival of another dog we are fostering for a short time.

MEET OUR FOSTER CHEVY!!!

She must learn how to cope with the idea that her fur mom and dad are sharing affection to another dog who has not necessarily cared to show her any love and attention.  She was excited to see a new playmate and went over to greet him with a wagging tail on his first day.  The foster did not want to have anything to do with her and responded with a low growl..

Millie's spirit was crushed and she quickly retreated to the opposite end of the house.. refusing to enter the room he was in for at least the first couple of days.  She is now spending her days pouting on the end of the couch.. and the only bit of life that she gives me is when I take her on her very own 'personal' walk at one of her favorite parks.  She's a sensitive, frail, emotional mess that is coming to terms that not all of the foster dogs we bring home will be her best friend.
