Kensey & Trent

I am just over the moon happy to be back in touch with Kensey!  She has turned into a beautiful young lady and is getting married this fall!! I have had the opportunity to photograph her for family photos in the past, so capturing her engagement photos was a nice walk down memory lane!

Her handsome beau, Trent was a great sport during our HOT and HUMID session.. It decided to be the hottest day up to the year this past weekend when we met up.  They pulled it off really well though, as you can't see one ounce of sweat on them!

The city provided ample shade and the occasional breeze if you stood in the right spot!!

I enjoyed exploring the streets of Birmingham as well as venturing to new locations.  The city is never lacking in photo opps and it was a lot of fun catching up with everyone.

Ashlyn & Corey

This past Sunday was one of those days that I have been looking forward to a mini-get-away with work. It's been long over-due to have taken engagement photos as well as take a road trip with photography.

Yes.. I still claim not to shoot weddings but on occasion, I have been known to be coaxed into it!  This is just a small example on why I couldn't wait to be a part of this beautiful couple's new ventures!

Ashlyn has been a part of my life and hometown for many years now and the camera loves her!  Her gracious and down-to-earth, happy-go-lucky spirit as well as warm and natural smile can make any photo magical!

I also loved having the opportunity to meet Corey!  Seeing the two of them interact during our photo session was just the sweetest thing to capture and what better way to capture this amazing couple's story than on the movie set from BIG FISH..

"They say when you meet the love of your life, time stops, and that's true. What they don't tell you is that when it starts again, it moves extra fast to catch up." - ED BLOOM ( BIG FISH )

Congratulations to these guys on their recent engagement and upcoming nuptials!!  Enjoy every moment.. it's going to fly by if you let it!

The Kyle Family

When booking a location months in advance.. you have it all planned out with a general idea on where you want to take photos.. so when our time came to take photos and we discovered a very large baseball tournament going on at the park.. we decided amongst ourselves to take it to another location.

Thankfully the location was just a jump, skip and stone's throw away to the connecting park so it didn't seem to phase us at all.  Just a little bit of flexibility!

The Kyle family were up for the change and I'm so happy they were.  We were actually able to have the majority of the trails to ourselves.

Dylan is now a sophomore at her high school!  She is growing up into a beautiful, young lady as when I saw her just a couple years ago for our last session she was preparing to go into high school.

Time does fly by and I am thankful that this adorable family decided to grab some updated photos of everyone.  It was a lot of fun exploring the local walking trail with them.  We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.
