Today was baby Jeremy's actual due date, so I couldn't help but point this out as I write about our session from earlier this morning.
At just one week old, he took his appointment date serious with his first photo session!! When his awesome mom, Megan, had first contacted me a few months back, she initially told me September 23rd will be his due date. I guess the little guy overheard and thought he needed to be ready for his photos by the 23rd.
Regardless, this precious, beautiful baby boy with a head full of hair, couldn't wait to get started with life!
I am honored that the Yanik family scheduled time with me to hang out this morning. Everyone made me feel right at home. Jeremy is not only their first child but he is the first grand-baby to both sides of the family!
All these little moments and expressions are important for me to share because it allows me to show you the value of taking time and being still to appreciate every moment!
I know that these guys are soaking up every moment! He is perfect in every way and I hope you enjoy the images I share! Thank you!!

Yay!! After months of being in touch via email and technology, Kellye and I finally met in person!! She also brought along her soon to be groom, Paul. They traveled all the way from Colorado for the weekend to finish up some loose ends before their wedding here in Birmingham.
It never ceases to amaze me what a small world we live in. Kellye and I both graduated from the same high school and know many of the same people, so it really is crazy how we never have met until now!
Paul and Kellye are soo cute together and I was happy that our busy schedules allowed us to have a chance to work together with the camera before the big day next month!!
I'm glad that we decided on an early morning session as the humidity had already made us feel as though we were walking through a steam room. It is only Paul's second time to visit Alabama so I can only imagine it made him really appreciate the lower humidity and cooler temps in the rocky mountains!
Regardless of the heat, we were still able to grab some really sweet shots of these two. I enjoyed their sense of adventure along with their love of all things nature. It was a great way to start my weekend roaming the foothills in Alabama with new faces.

There is no better feeling in the world than to have a portrait session and see the love and bond between two young siblings. Amelia Katherine and big brother Carter are the perfect example. I couldn't get enough of seeing these two cuties cuddle up together. He is definently going to make an awesome big brother for the years to come!
I love my portrait time with the Rogers fam! Allison always has immaculate taste with colors and vision and every time she offers a suggestion, I cannot wait to see how we collaborate together! She truly does value photography so I take it to heart that she chooses to value my photography!
Speaking of valuing, I must give huge props to Casey for being such an awesome and loving husband to Allison!! You see, he loves football season and not only that, he use to play.. so when I learned that his alma mater , Miss St. was kicking off just in time for our session to start.. I knew what love was!
He is a man that values his family and cherishes these moments! I do hope that the handful of moments I share today will have made it all worth while. Cheers to football and family!
